The Bag Lady Deli

This cozy little boutique restaurant is another one of London’s hidden gems. It’s a great place to grab breakfast, sandwiches, baked goods or a good old cup of freshly brewed coffee. There is wide variety of items on their menu including vegan and gluten free options and the best part is that everything is made and prepared fresh daily! The food not only tastes great, but is also presented beautifully on antique dishes with delicate napkins and cutlery.

The interior of the place is uniquely decorated and creates a fun, retro style atmosphere. Antique napkins, recycled sweaters, adorable oven mitts, aprons and little toys hang around the walls, giving you something to look at no matter which direction you turn.

The downside to this place is that it is pretty small and crowded. There is not a whole lot of room in here, which means that you can expect longer wait times, especially on weekends. Asides from the long wait times, it is a little bit on the pricey side.

My personal favorite is The Mojo – two slices of sourdough french toast stuffed with peanut butter and bananas, topped with berries and honey.

I recommend that everyone tries this place at least once for a unique dining experience like no other.

  2. Hi Dina! I am so happy that you featured the Bag Lady because I absolutely love this place. From my experience of dining there before, I believe your interpretations and descriptions of the Bag Lady are super accurate. The pictures that you included really made me fall in love with this place all over again. My personal favourite from the menu is the Bag Daddy’s Big Stack. I haven’t been in a while, but this post has definitely encouraged me to go again sometime soon.
